Simple. Cheap. And Two Comfort Foods in One.

Dinner time around my house can get pretty hectic. My husband’s one of those super picky kind that only will eat certain meals if he’s “in the mood for it.”   *insert eye roll here*

Luckily, there are a few meals I have found that can satisfy him no matter what mood he’s in. And this meal is one of them!

Who wouldn’t like it? Chili Cheese & Hot Dogs all wrapped in one. It’s pretty heavenly.

  2. Unroll dough, cut into 4 strips.
  3. Cut 4 cheese sticks in half lengthwise.
  4. Place hot dog and both halves of cheese stick on the dough strips (one half of cheese stick on each side of hot dog).
  5. Wrap the dough around the hot dog and cheese, overlapping slightly in the center.
  6. Repeat with remaining dough, cheese, and hot dogs.
  7. Place in the oven for about 10 minutes (or until dough begins to turn golden).
  8. Heat chili in a small pot over medium heat.
  9. When the dough is golden, pour chili on and around the hot dogs. Bake for another 5 minutes.
  10. **extra** In a microwaveable cup, microwave butter on high until melted. Stir in garlic powder and parsley. Brush on top of each cheese dog.
  11. Serve immediately.
Recipe Notes

And you're done!

How simple was that?!

I hope you enjoy this meal as much as my family does!

There have been a few times where the dough has not been completely done for me. Make sure that before you pour the chili, the dough is cooked. There is an alternative recipe that adds the HOT (already heated) chili to the bottom of the pan and THEN places the hot dogs on top. I tried that and my dough wasn't done enough -- but it may work better for you. Just work with it and tweak it to your liking!
