This title contains 3 of my favorite things: cheap, easy, and all natural (: –which I guess could be used to describe many not so nice things, but we are going with stick with a clean mind here- and a clean house once you’re done reading this post!
As you know, I am a fan of homemade products. I love the fact that I know exactly what goes into what I am using around my house, my family, and myself. Plus, homemade options are normally much cheaper than going to the store buying commercial products.
Each year, we waste money on cleaning supplies– and I mean, LOTS of money–when we could be making this stuff for cheap at home!!
Instead of stocking the cabinet under my sink with 5 different chemicals to clean my entire house with, I have ONE, all natural, cleaner that can clean just about ANYTHING!ย
Plus, it saves me tons of money! ((keep reading to see how much it costs to make a bottle of this spray- you wont believe it!))
I use this cleaner to clean my kitchen (every surface: counters, sink, stove, microwave, fridge, dishwasher…everything!), bathroom (yes, you guessed it, every surface in here too!), mirrors, windows, doors, walls, furniture, hardwood cabinets and floors (for those quick sticky, spills).
This cleaner literally does it all!
And making it takes only SECONDS! And requires only TWO ingredients– okay, can I say it now? HOW SIMPLE IS THAT?!
Making Your Own All Purpose, Vinegar Spray:
For this spray you will need
- A Spray bottle
- Vinegar (distilled white or apple cider, whichever you prefer. I use distilled white)
- Water
That’s it.
Mix an equal amount of water and vinegar into your spray bottle and voila! You’re done!
For less than .50ยข, calculating that you already have a spray bottle on hand (re-use an old one!), you have created an all purpose spray that will clean your entire house and clean it well!! Vinegar is an awesome disinfectant and cleaner. You wouldn’t believe how well it works!
I have been using this homemade spray for about 6 years now. Right around the time my first child was born. I wanted a cleaner that would clean well, but was non-toxic. However, buying those types of cleaners at the store can get ridiculously costly- so I was able to find this lifesaver. And it works great!
That was the beginning of my all natural, homemade products escapade and I haven’t looked back since!
